Without any repair or restoration these specimens are completley natural with no colourwash.</p>
<p>Fish often leave only a slight impression over their bones in the matrix without any colour. These fish have been excellently preserved - the fish would have been quickly covered by sediment after death preventing rapid soft tissue decay - the slower process of decomposition allowed the natural preservation of the soft tissue resulting in these A grade natural specimens - no paint - no colourwash!</p>

The original extremely fragile matrix has been replaced with a much more stable and solid matrix to present these excellent specimens as they would be found in a museum.</p>
